Thousands in Tools, Materials Stolen From Fairfield Construction Site

FAIRFIELD, Conn. — Workers at an apartment complex being built in Fairfield near the Bridgeport border discovered about $12,000 worth of tools and materials stolen Monday morning, police said.

Workers believe that sometime between 2 p.m. on Aug. 20 and 6:40 a.m. Aug 22, someone cut the lock on a door with bolt cutters and made off with the items being used at the construction site at the corner of Commerce Drive and Black Rock Turnpike, police said.
