Three Bike Thefts Reported At Fairfield Metro Saturday

FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Three bicycles were reported stolen from the Fairfield metro train station on the same day this weekend, according to police reports.

The owners of the bikes all reported the items stolen Saturday evening. The owners left the bikes locked up on the northbound side of the station that morning, and returned in the evening to find them missing, police say. Pieces of broken chain links were found near the bike racks, according to the report.

The missing items included a Schwinn silver hybrid-style bike valued at $300, a blue Beach Cruiser six-speed bike valued at $500, and a white and black Hyper 24-speed valued at $129.

Fairfield Police are still investigating the thefts. Anyone with information should contact the Fairfield Police at 203-254-4800.
