On Friday around 4:15 p.m., officers helped a boater who had run over a buoy marker, fouled the prop on his 31-foot sailboat and was listing to starboard aground on the reef, police said.

The boat was towed to a mooring in Black Rock Harbor.

Around 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, police rescued a man and his dog from a boat on the “little cows” just south of the lighthouse. They were brought safely to Captain’s Cove in Bridgeport.

And on Sunday around 7:30 p.m., police were called to assist Bridgeport police in finding a new boater who was lost between Stratford and Captain’s Cove on a 24-foot vessel, police said.
