FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Three women were charged with prostitution Wednesday after an investigation at Diedra’s Health Salon in Fairfield, police said.
Fairfield Police detectives began investigating the Post Road massage parlor “to ensure its compliance with the law,” according to a press release. One of the business’s co-owners also had ties to Fairfield’s Paradise Spa and Bridgeport’s Tokyo Health Spa, which were both closed for health violations recently, police said.
The Detective Bureau also received “numerous anonymous tips reporting prostitution at the salon,” according to the press release. Undercover officers posed as customers and found “illegal sexual activity” at the business, police say. A search of salon and one of the co-owner’s homes revealed records of activity and more than $16,000 in cash, according to police reports.
Three employees were arrested late Tuesday and early Wednesday: a 56-year-old Shelton woman, a 32-year-old Bridgeport woman and a 34-year-old New Haven woman. All three were charged with prostitution, a misdemeanor. Two more arrests for promoting prostitution are expected in the next few days, police said.
