Traffic Cone Causes $1,000 In Damage in Fairfield

FAIRFIELD, Conn. — A Veres Street man who was away from home for a few days came back Sunday to find a traffic cone had smashed his front window, police said.

The Fairfield Police Department is investigating an incident of vandalism.

Sometime between Thursday evening and Sunday, someone threw the multicolored cone through the glass window, causing $1,000 in damages, police said.

The man said he knew of no reason anyone would target him, police said.

Officers are investigating
