The man, who was not identified, did not have life-threatening injuries in the 12:20 p.m. fall, authorities said. But multiple Fire Department and AMR responders had to move the worker from the wooded area behind a home at 188 Rock Major Road and to an ambulance for transport to the hospital.
Fire officials were unable to provide the worker's name or the medical facility to which he was transported. But they did say that he was a privately contracted worker and was not apart of partnered pilot trimming program that began Monday between the town of Fairfield and United Illuminating.
The Fairfield Fire Department and AMR were first to respond. The Fairfield Police Department and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration were also called to the scene, according to authorities.
