FAIRFIELD, Conn. — Two 17-year-old Fairfield girls were arrested Saturday, after they attempted to steal about $668 worth of merchandise from Kohl’s on Tunxis Hill Road, police said.
The girls hid items, mostly cosmetics, in backpacks in the 7:30 p.m. incident, police said. But a store loss prevention officer was watching them because they had previously attempted to shoplift in the store, police said.
Each girl was charged with fifth-degree larceny and was scheduled to appear in juvenile court on Sept. 26, police said.
