FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- Fairfield officers responding to a fight between two guests Monday night at the Delamar Hotel in Southport ended up arresting both people involved, police said.
A manager at the Delamar contacted Fairfield police Monday night after a guest complained of a fight taking place in another room.
When officers arrived, they found that the two occupants -- Kristin Seeman, 69, and Paul Seeman, 59, of Berkeley, Calif. -- had been fighting, police said. The two were in town visiting family and got into an argument, police said.
According to the police report, Paul Seeman went into the bathroom and pushed Kristin Seeman to prevent her from entering after him.
She had scratched on her forearms, and he had fallen on the floor, police said. He did not complain of any injuries but said she had bitten him on the lip, police said.
The couple told officers that this was the first time they had had a fight like this, police said.
Both were charged with disorderly conduct, and Paul Seeman was asked to leave for the night, police said. They were released on promises to appear in court on Jan. 21. No information was available regarding their court appearances.
