Video: Cops Look For Train Station Theft Suspect

FAIRFIELD, Conn. ‒ Fairfield Police are asking for help to identify a suspect in a bicycle theft at the Fairfield train station last week. Detectives have released the above video from the station’s surveillance cameras featuring the theft.

The theft occurred at about 10 p.m. on July 6. A red and silver 27-inch Giant Cypress-brand bike was left chained on the New Haven-bound side of the station earlier that day. The video shows the man cutting the bicycle’s lock and riding away on it.

Police describe the suspect as a black male, bald, in his 20s or 30s. It appears he was carrying a green and white Aeropostale shopping bag at the time of the theft. Anyone with information should contact the Fairfield Police Detective Bureau at 203-254-4840.
