Woman Charged With $2,700 In Thefts At Fairfield Stores

FAIRFIELD, Conn. – A Bridgeport woman was accused of shoplifting more than $2,700 worth of items from stores in the Fairfield area Monday, according to police reports.

Store security at Kohl’s department store told police that Raemisha Sierra, 22, of Bridgeport, was seen hiding items at the store Monday afternoon, police say. She allegedly attempted to walk out without paying for $687 worth of merchandise, according to the police report.

Officers arrived and searched her vehicle, where they found another $2,084 worth of items, police say. Sierra admitted to having stolen the merchandise from other local stores, according to the police report.

Sierra was charged with fifth-degree larceny, a misdemeanor, and third-degree larceny by possession, a felony. She was released after posting a $250 bond and is due in court on Feb. 28.
