Woman Charged With Theft From Car At Fairfield Garage

FAIRFIELD, Conn. – A Weston woman was charged with stealing credit cards from a car parked at a Fairfield auto repair shop, according to police reports.

The car’s owner told police $85 in cash and credit cards was taken from the vehicle while it was parked at Swedish Motor Works on Black Rock Turnpike for repairs in August, police said.

Investigators found that the card was used at Dunkin' Donuts in Southport that day, and video surveillance from the store produced a photo of the suspect, according to the police report.

The same victim later told police that bottles of alcohol and an e-reader were stolen from her kitchen that same day, police said. When shown the photo from Dunkin' Donuts, a family member identified the suspect as Jordan Dunn, 18, of Weston, according to the police report.

Dunn was arrested on a warrant Friday afternoon and charged with second-degree burglary, a felony; as well as sixth-degree larceny, credit card theft and illegal use of a credit card; all misdemeanors. She was released on a promise to appear in court, with a hearing scheduled for Jan. 24.
