Blumenthal, a Greenwich resident and a Democrat, will also serve as the Ranking Member of the Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on the Constitution. In addition to his membership on the Senate Commerce and Judiciary Committees, he will continue to serve on the Senate Armed Services, Veterans, and Aging Committees.

“With billionaires, bankers and big business leaders flooding (President) Trump’s swamp cabinet, consumers need a voice now more than ever,” Blumenthal said. “I am proud to serve as ranking member of the Subcommittee on Consumer Protection, Product Safety, Insurance, and Data Security, and will fight through this role — as I have throughout my career — to protect the rights of consumers from fraud, abuse and harm. I will continue to use every post, position and opportunity available to me to continue fighting for the values and priorities of the people of Connecticut.”
