CTLCV's endorsement was motivated by Kupchick's efforts on behalf of the environment.

In an email to Kupchick announcing her endorsement, Lori Brown, the executive director of CTLCV wrote, “Thank you for caring about Connecticut’s environment and working so hard to design and pass good statewide policy! We are grateful to have champions like you at the Capitol, and we look forward to working with you in the year ahead.”

“We are fortunate enough to live in a state with so many beautiful natural resources, and I strongly believe we need to prioritize the protection of those resources as we set our legislative agenda for next session,” said Kupchick. “I am committed to protecting Connecticut's open space, the Long Island Sound, and our air and wildlife. I am grateful to the CTLCV for their endorsement and recognition of my work and commitment to our environment."

CTLCV is a bipartisan, nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting Connecticut’s environment, and acts as a legislative watchdog for environmental issues.
