The committee hosted former Secretary of the State Susan Bysiewicz as its special guest speaker, marking the official beginning of the "Ready-Set-Go" post-primary campaign season.

The DTC has an active and highly organized Campaign Committee, which has been canvassing and campaigning throughout the summer on behalf of local and statewide candidates. Bysiewicz presented an informative session on key strategies for the successful election of the full slate of Democratic candidates on Nov. 4.

Fairfield has one of the largest and most active Town Committees statewide, she said, and appears to have an early advantage in recruiting volunteers, registering voters, and shoring up strong support for candidates and incumbents ahead of the November elections.
