To the Editor:

I write in full support of State Representative Brenda Kupchick for reelection to the 132nd District seat.

As a parent of three daughters who have attended Fairfield Public Schools, I have come to count on Brenda as a fierce advocate for our children at the State Capitol. I first met Brenda when she was a Board of Education member and grew to admire her as she consistently did what was best for all Fairfield students, and as a parent of a student with special needs, I've also seen firsthand Brenda's passion for children with disabilities.

Brenda is a member of the legislature's Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Caucus which promotes legislation to help improve the lives of individuals with disabilities. This year, the caucus championed a bill that will require stronger training requirements for teachers instructing students with dyslexia. Rep. Kupchick was a strong supporter of this bill.

Locally, Brenda has always supported the Fairfield Special Education PTA (SEPTA) and the Pilot House, which provide programs for children/young adults with special needs. Brenda is in our corner and helps support our programs.

Brenda is a long-time champion for our children - she puts the welfare of our children first. I encourage you to support this advocate for Fairfield students on November 8th.
