There are four candidates currently going through the appointment process, but a fifth is needed to join them on this new commission.

Additionally, the town is seeking volunteer residents of various political affiliations to fill current and anticipated vacancies on other boards and commissions, including the Economic Development Commission, the Employees Retirement Board, the Ethics Commission, the Greater Bridgeport Transit District Board of Commissioners, the Harbor Management Commission, the Land Acquisition Commission and the Shellfish Commission.

For a complete list of board or commission vacancies, please visit www.fairfieldct.org/vacancies. Please contact the First Selectman's office at (203) 256-3030 or firstselectmanffld@fairfieldct.org with any questions.

The town always is looking for volunteers with time and interest to serve on its many boards and commissions. Even if there is not currently a vacancy on a particular board, town officials would like to hear about your interest in serving so they can contact you when there is an opening.

First Selectman Michael Tetreau oversees and coordinates the appointment process for all but a few boards. If you would like to be considered for appointment, please send a copy of your resume (or short biography) and a completed questionnaire (available as a fillable PDF or in Microsoft Word) to Tetreau's office.

Electronic delivery is preferred (e-mail to firstselectmanffld@fairfieldct.org ) but regular mail is acceptable. All appointees must be registered voters. Please contact the Office of the Registrars of Voters to confirm that you are a registered voter in the Town of Fairfield.
