Hicks met with the special counsel investigating Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election on Thursday and Friday. Hicks is not being investigated for any potential wrongdoing, according to published reports.

According to The New York Times, Hicks was warned by the FBI Russians operatives would be trying to contact her during the presidential transition. She received emails from Russian government addresses after Trump was elected, according to the Times.

Hicks graduated Greenwich High School in 2006, where she was co-captain of the lacrosse team. After college, Hicks worked at Hiltzik Strategies, a big public relations firm that represents Hollywood clients and corporate executives. She then went to work for Ivanka Trump, the president's daughter, and her luxury jewelry lines and Trump's real estate holdings. She was asked to join the campaign staff in early 2015.
