Ned Lamont, a Greenwich resident who ran for the U.S. Senate and governor, views Trump as a good match to run against Hilary Clinton.

Lamont told the Connecticut Post that a terrorist attack between now and the election could change the outcome of the race, and that Democrats should be careful of what they wish for.

But not all Connecticut Republicans are behind Trump, including former U.S. Rep. Christopher Shays who campaigned for Ohio Gov. John Kasich, the Connecticut Post said.

Shays told the Post that he is very unhappy with what is happening to the state and the country with a Trump nomination.
