NORWALK, Conn. – Connecticut Gov. Dannel Malloy and Lt. Gov. Nancy Wyman will start their annual tour of meetings with state voters in Norwalk on Wednesday.

“Being out there, accessible, and talking directly with people is fundamental to open government and helps us become more effective at serving the people we were elected to represent,” Malloy said in a press release.  “I really do enjoy talking with our state’s residents directly and hearing their opinions on how we can make decisions that will best improve Connecticut.”

Each year, Malloy and Wyman hold a series of community forums where residents can ask questions of the two directly. The meetings will last throughout the current legislative session, which is scheduled to end May 7.

“These meetings are a very direct way for citizens to have a voice in everything from how their tax dollars are being spent to how their children are being educated,” Wyman said in the release.

The meetings are open to the public, and all residents are welcome to submit questions on state issues. Those interested in asking questions should arrive at the forum early to add their names to a sign-in sheet.

The first forum will take place in the community room of Norwalk City Hall at 125 East Ave. on Wednesday, Feb. 19 from 7 to 8 p.m. The dates and locations of future meetings will be announced over the next few weeks.

Wow so I guess the Daily Voice just arbitrarily deletes comments refuting the trash spewed by the lefties. Maybe the moderator can identify something that Malloy has "fixed" which was "screwed up" by those terrible Republican Governors we have had. Nothing like validating the factual claims of liberal biased reporting. But I guess I understand its a survival tactic. Since rights are meaningless to progressive liberals it makes sense you would fear angering them by publishing facts & truth because you are only a popularity contest away from being legislated to silence.

As usual your post is far right wing faceless propaganda..
I guess you forgot about the republican Grandma Rell and the Republican criminal Rowland..
Oh and please stop with he excuse about the democratic State House as the failure of the Rell and Rowland administration falls on their desk just like the success of the Democratic Malloy and Obama administration falls on their desk
See Kenny its up to a profession governor to work around any obstacles he may have
Now does the Kenny understand?????

I give him credit for being a cretin. He faces voters but ignores them, he listens with a deaf ear & simply plows ahead with his utopian liberal fantasy sinking us deeper into debt while whittling away at our rights.

Well, I give him, or them, credit, for being willing to face voters in public. The giveaway of state money ("development funds") to successful private businesses is inexcusable. $115 million to Bridgewater Associates, the most successful hedge fund manager in the world, with > $150 billion in assets? These people are in positions of responsibility for which they have shown themselves to be unqualified.
