Yonkers' School 23 Celebrates Harvest Festival

YONKERS, N.Y. -- Young students got into the fall harvest at School 23 in Yonkers recently. 

Students from pre-kindergarten through second grade received a visit from Ursuline School seniors to learn about the fall harvest, according to a notice from the school district. The Harvest Festival at the school featured games, such as "Pin the Nose on the Scarecrow," and arts and crafts . 

"What a happy time these pre-K through second-grade pumpkins had learning about the beautiful seasonal transformation that defines fall," representatives said in the notice. "The school's 'Harvest Festival' featured face painting, arts and crafts and old-fashioned games, such as a ring toss."
