Animal transporter and Grateful Doggies owner Steve Quilliam, who has rescued more than 7,000 dogs since 2013, is looking to renovate his Middletown, New York facility to better serve his canines.

The hope is to “turn this little facility into not only a temporary home where all rescue animals are welcome and sure to find a loving family and forever home,” he wrote on the page, "but also a community of animal-loving people dedicated to bettering the lives of those animals in need.”

The majority of Quilliam’s passengers were facing euthanasia until being rescued by Grateful Doggies.

Once the renovations to the facility are complete and funding is secured, Quilliam intends to provide 100% free boarding and care for “every single animal that walks through our doors from participating rescues,” he said on the GoFundMe site.

“I know with the help of the animal loving society this dream can become a reality.”
