Yorktown Teen Charged With Stealing From Toys R Us

YORKTOWN, N.Y. -- A 19-year-old employee of the Toys R Us store in Jefferson Valley has been charged with grand larceny, according to Yorktown police.

Yorktown police said they have charged a 19-year-old Yorktown woman with stealing more than $1,500 from her employer, the Toys R Us store in Jefferson Valley.

Tiffany A. Hernandez, a Yorktown resident, stole more than $1,500 while working at the toy store between last December and this January, police said.

Police said the store told them that Hernandez completed fraudulent transactions and credited herself the money in cash or credit.

Charged with fourth-degree grand larceny, a felony, Hernandez was arrested at the store on Tuesday, Feb. 9, police said.

She was released on $100 bail and ordered to appear in Yorktown Justice Court in March, police said.
