Police were dispatched to a Maple Drive apartment on Sunday on a report of an overdose, the Connecticut Post reported. When officers arrived, they found the 19-year-old girlfriend lying on the floor unconscious, and had to administer four doses of Naloxone before she woke up, according to the Connecticut Post. She was then taken to the hospital for treatment.
Police were able to get a search warrant for the apartment, which was rented by the woman's boyfriend, 23-year-old Douglas Boyle, the Connecticut Post reported. Officers found four folds of heroin mixed with fentanyl, as well as bags of heroin and packaging materials, according to the Connecticut Post.
Boyle was charged with sale of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, possession of narcotics and possession of drug paraphernalia, and was released on a $2,000 bond, according to the Connecticut Post.
