Fairfield Has Two Snow Days To Spare Before Cutting Into April Break

Photo Credit: Daily Voice File Photo

FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Students in the Fairfield public schools will pay the price for their five snow days come June, and time will tell about their April break.

Since December, there have been 13 snowstorms, but only five full school days have been lost. That pushed the end of the school year from June 11 back to June 18, according to the Fairfield Public Schools website.

The district had built in a total of seven snow days to the calendar so there are still two to use if more bad weather occurs.

If the end of school date gets pushed back to June 20, the district will start to cut into the April break.

Any additional lost days would be added back as classroom days starting April 14, if more than two snow days are called, the district says. According to the calendar, spring break is April 14 to 18.

The calendar can be found here .
