Fairfield Parochial School Class Raises Funds For Childhood Cancer Research

FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- The second- grade class at Assumption Catholic School in Fairfield has raised $1,370 this past year through monthly lemonade stands they set up during student lunch periods. 

Over the past five years, the second-grade class at Our Lady of Assumption School.has raised $5,688 for Alex's Lemonade Stand.

Each class at Assumption Catholic School has a commitment to a particular organization and over the past five years, the second-grade class has raised $5,688 for Alex's Lemonade Stand.

The national Alex's Lemonade Stand has a mission "To raise money and awareness of childhood cancer....research into new treatments and cures, and to encourage and empower others, especially children, to get involved and make a difference for children with cancer."
