Fairfield Public Schools To Reopen Wednesday

FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Fairfield’s public and parochial schools will reopen Wednesday, the school district announced Tuesday evening.

“Families are asked to take precaution at school bus stops,” the school district said on its website. “If neighbors can organize carpooling, it would be most helpful.”

The schools were closed last Friday because of the blizzard as well as Monday and Tuesday as the town dug out after being hit by more than 2 feet of snow.

Notre Dame High School will stay closed Wednesday morning and plans to reopen Thursday, the school said on its Twitter feed. As of 6 p.m. Wednesday, no other private schools in Fairfield had announced their plans for Wednesday.
