Fairfield Schools Closed Friday Due To Severe Storm

FAIRFIELD, Conn. - Fairfield Public Schools announced Friday morning that they will be closed Friday due to the blizzard conditions predicted for later in the day.

All 12-month employees are to report in, though, and school offices will remain open until noon.

Strong winds and snow from 10 to 16 inches is forecast for Fairfield County beginning Friday, with conditions worsening Friday night and blizzard conditions predicted. The snow should end Saturday afternoon.
