Fairfield Schools Seek Public's Input On New Superintendent

FAIRFIELD, Conn. — The Fairfield Board of Education has initiated its search for a new Superintendent of Schools.

The Board of Education invites the public’s participation in this process by attend an upcoming Open Forum.

The forums will be facilitated by the consulting firm Hazard, Young, Attea & Associates.

They are as follows:

  • Tuesday, May 3, 12:30 to 1:30 p.m., Fairfield Main Library, Rotary Room, 1080 Old Post Road.
  • Tuesday, May 3, 6 to 7 p.m., Central Office Board room, 501 Kings Highway East
  • Wednesday, May 4, 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., Central Office Board Room, 501 Kings Highway East.

All residents of Fairfield are welcome to attend.

As a reminder, HYA is also using the Superintendent Profile Survey to gather information regarding the characteristics, skills, and abilities that stakeholders view as important in the new superintendent. 

The Board is very interested in public input as they seek to hire a new superintendent. 

The survey, available to May 9, is designed to gather perceptions on the importance of various characteristics commonly found in effective superintendents. 

The information will be used by HYA and the Board of Education to determine the “Desired Characteristics” of the next superintendent for Fairfield Public Schools.
