Fairfield's Sacred Heart To Break Ground On Center For Healthcare Education

FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- Fairfield-based Sacred Heart University will break ground on a new building to house its Colleges of Healthcare Professions and Nursing on an 8.7-acre site in Bridgeport.

The new building will be located at 4030 Park Ave. in Bridgeport. The Center for Healthcare Education will provide new opportunities for collaborative learning and ensure that students graduate prepared for work in the health-care industry.

The 117-square-foot building will will allow the students in the various health disciplines to interact on medical scenarios the way they will in the employment environment once they graduate.  

The ground-breaking will be at 4030 Park Ave., Bridgeport, on Thursday, June 18, at 11 a.m.

This event is free and open to the public.
