FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Sacred Heart University has reached the top of a dubious leader board. Newsweek and The Daily Beast put the Fairfield school at the top of its Least Affordable College rankings for 2012.
The magazine and website compiled the list based on student debt, total costs to attend each school and median salaries of alumni. Sacred Heart’s 99 percent rate of students graduating with debt and estimated yearly cost of over $50,000 to live on campus put it at the top of the list, according to the article.
