NORWALK, Conn. – Norwalk Public Schools Superintendent Manuel Rivera plans to leave his current position at the end of January to become superintendent for New London Public Schools, The Hour reported.

Rivera stepped into the Norwalk job in July 2013. Before that, Rivera was superintendent of the public school system in Rochester, N.Y.
