Pequot Library Provides 'Books For Teachers' In Underserved Communities

SOUTHPORT, Conn. – The Pequot Library in Southport is accepting applications from Bridgeport and New Haven public school teachers for its “Books for Teachers” program.

The deadline is Saturday, May 30.

The program provides public school teachers with a voucher redeemable at the Pequot Library’s Summer Book Sale.

Last year, 350 inner-city teachers each received an $85 voucher to buy books for their classrooms.

Books, media, records and prints will be available at the sale, which will be July 24-28.
