Ridgefield High Dean Reinstated After Drunken Driving Arrest In Fairfield

RIDGEFIELD, Conn. -- The dean of students and head football coach at Ridgefield High School was reinstated on May 26 following a stint on administrative leave for his arrest on driving under the influence charges earlier in the month, according to Hearst Connecticut Media Group.

Kevin Callahan was arrested after he hit a traffic sign and a tree at Stillson and Fairfield Woods roads. He said he was looking at a text while he was driving. Police found a half-empty bottle of vodka in his vehicle during the investigation. 

Callahan still has a pending court date in Bridgeport on June 16 to answer to the charges, Hearst Connecticut Media Group reported.
