The opening reception will be held on Wednesday, June 1, from 5:30-8:30 p.m. To better facilitate the town’s participation, encouraged viewing times are for Elementary Schools are 5:30-7 p.m. and Secondary Schools are 7-8:30 p.m.
Fairfield public schools showcase more than 800 two-dimensional works, plus many 3D artworks.
The exhibition is a tribute to the students and teachers at the two high schools, three middle schools and 11 elementary schools, exemplifying the progression of work from kindergarten through high school.
The public is invited to enjoy the Advanced Placement exhibition with selections from Fairfield Ludlowe and Fairfield Warde High Schools in The Perkin Gallery, which is up through June 2.
Also on display during the Fairfield Students Townwide Art Show in the exhibit cases in the Reading Room and The Perkin Gallery will be items from Pequot Library’s Special Collections, including representations of women.
