The Junior Midgets beat Trumbull, 34-14, and the Pee Wee team shut out Amity, 7-0.

The Junior Midgets won their ninth straight game and reached the title game for the second straight year.

Finn Duran led the Giants with four touchdown runs, one, a 70-yard kickoff return.  Brandon Moutinho also had a big night and scored Fairfield’s final touchdown.

Fairfield’s dominant defense has allowed an average of 8 points per game and was once again the difference maker.  Owen Cirilli, who had been sidelined with a broken finger for several weeks, returned to the line-up and gave the Giants added spark, making several key tackles. Ryan McManus, Henry Houghton, Jake Simonelli, Anthony Espinosa, Hayden Beiser, Jeff Meyers, Owen Sherman, Sam Roberto, Gage Dias and Brian Kiremidjian, played tough, solid defense.

The Junior Midgets will meet Milford for the title on Sunday, Nov. 9, in West Haven.

The Pee Wee team got its only score on a 50-yard run by quarterback Nick Morris. Mike Innaimo ran in for the point after touchdown.

Amity's spread offense was hampered the wet, windy conditions and the Giants' defense. Charlie Wilcox, Freddy Capossella, Peter Strang, Grady Bartlet and Gavin Toth led the Giants defensively.

The Giants will meet Newington for the league title on Saturday, Nov. 8, in West Haven.
