Fairfield American Intermediate Team Wins State Championship

FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- The Fairfield American District Intermediate 50/70 team won the Connecticut state championship last week.

Fairfield American advances to the Eastern Regional Tournament that will begin on Saturday, July 19, in East Northport, N.Y.

Fairfield American went 3-0 in the state tournament, beating Coginchaug, 11-10; Coventry, 13-11, and Coventry again, 17-7. The tournament was played in Middlefield.
