The club members competed among 79 Pony Club members from 21 Junior and Senior teams around the Metropolitan Region on Saturday, March 8, at Joel Barlow High School in Redding.

"Contestants tested their knowledge against others in horse management and horse care earning points as teams and individuals," representatives said. "FCHPC teams not only had tremendous success with four of its teams taking home ribbons, but also had a member standout individually qualifying to participate in the 2014 USPC Championship Quiz event in Lexington, Ky., this coming summer."

First place ribbons were awarded to Kaeleigh Pollard, Aundrea Lagana, Olivia Blair and Team Capitan Emily Grzeda on the Senior Team; and Isabelle Bussolotta, Ali Neugerbauer, Mia Auray and Team Captain Bella Bookas on the Junior Team. Third place ribbons were awarded to Emilie McCann, Rachel Fox, Sophie Loboncz and Team Captain Sophia Bookas on the senior team; and Faith Hathaway, Ben Block, Kiera Henry and Team Captain Will Hathaway from the junior team.

"Congratulations to Kaeleigh Pollard, who qualified for 2014 USPC National Championship Quiz event, with her overall high score," representatives said.

"They work together as a team, cheer each other on and demonstrated great sportsmanship. I love watching our kids grow from year to year and to see the new members feel a part of FCHPC," said Club Leader Kelly Pollard.
