The game was played in Cranston, R.I.
The Giants, the Connecticut champions, ran into Mount Hope for the third time in four regional appearances. The Rhode Island team now has a 2-1 advantage in head-to-head meetings.
"Mount Hope was a very good, disciplined football team,'' Giants coach Mark Innaimo said. "They moved the ball with precision and made it very hard for the defense to stop the explosiveness and speed of the Cowboy running backs."
Fairfield fell behind early and never recovered. The Giants never gave up on either side of the ball as the team continued to play hard until the final whistle.
The Giants finished the season with a 10-2 record, six of which were shutout victories. They captured a Southern Connecticut Pop Warner Division 2 Championship and the state banner.
"We are so proud and happy for this team,'' Innaimo said. "Every player worked very hard to earn the state title. We set some goals at the start of the season, and put all efforts towards accomplishing those goals. Together they walked into Cranston Stadium as champions and together they walked off the field as champions. No one can take that away from them."
