FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Fairfield Prep meets New Jersey basketball powerhouse St. Anthony High School and its legendary coach, Bob Hurley, in a preseason scrimmage Saturday at Alumni Hall. Tip-off is 4:30 p.m.

Hurley’s Jersey City squads have been the most dominant high school team in the state's history. He has won 26 state championships and more than 1,000 games in 39 years as a coach, despite aging facilities and financial limitations.

On Feb. 2, 2011, Hurley became only the 10th coach in high school history to win 1,000. Five of his teams have gone undefeated, including his 2007-08 team.

Tickets are $5, and proceeds will benefit St. Anthony’s.
