Fairfield Rowers Take Second At Regional Event

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- The Connecticut Boat Club girls varsity eight, which features several rowers from Fairfield County, took second place at the Mercer Sprints in New Jersey recently.

Jessica Ferrante (Fairfield), Paige Voigt (Darien), Meg Galloway (Ridgefield), Isabel Fitter (Fairfield), Kassy Boliakis (Norwalk), Katie de Haas (Darien), Katherine Squitieri (Wilton), Kendra Shutts (Darien) and Casey Clifford (New Canaan) helped power the boat to the silver medal. 

CBC will also begin its spring learn-to-row camp at their Norwalk location from May 21 through May 29.

Practices take place from 4 to 6 p.m. each day.

All interested high school students are welcome but spaces is limited.  Email Coach Liz Trond at Liz@ctboatclub.org to sign up. The cost is $175 for one week.
