The Fairfield Warde-Ludlowe boys hockey team won its third straight game Saturday with a thrilling 5-4 victory over Westhill High School at Terry Conners Rink in Stamford.
Chris Stern's goal with 1:47 left in the contest gave Fairfield the victory. The Mustangs led 4-0 in the second period before Westhill tied the game in the final period.
Chris Santello assisted on Stern's game-winner. Santello, Tom Kryspin, Brian Underkofler and Mathiu Larouche also scored for Fairfield. Goaltender Connor Frawley made 15 saves.
Fairfield (4-2) also beat Westhill, 2-1, on Jan. 5. The Mustangs return to action Wednesday against Trumbull at 7:15 at the Wonderland of Ice in Bridgeport.
