Fairfield Students Compete In National Junior Olympics Cross Country Races

FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- Two Fairfield students recently competed in the USTAF National Junior Olympic Cross Country Championship races. 

The two boys, Fairfield Ludlowe freshman Ben Ertel and Fairfield Woods seventh grader Colin Agostisi, qualified for the Dec. 14 races in San Antonio and each ranked 85th in their respective races out of hundreds of other runners.

The two boys, Fairfield Ludlowe freshman Ben Ertel and Fairfield Woods seventh-grader Colin Agostisi, qualified for the Dec. 14 races in San Antonio after winning at both the state and regional levels.

Ben finished the 4K race in 14:07 and ranked 85th out of 444 runners. Colin finished the 3K race in 11:05 and ranked 85th out of 391 runners. The boys were coached by Kelly Renna.
