Mejia, 26, received the ban for testing positive for a banned substance for the third time. He was already serving a 162-game suspension for a positive test for Stanozolol and Boldenone in July, ESPN reported.

Mejia is able to apply for reinstatement to Commissioner Rob Manfred, a Tarrytown resident, in one year, ESPN said.
