Runners Hit the Road in Buildup

Runners from throughout Fairfield County and beyond competed Sunday in the Boston Buildup 25-kilometer run. The race began at Silvermine School in Norwalk and traversed into New Canaan, Wilton and  Vista, N.Y. before returning to the finish line near the school. There were 215 finishers in the race. Eneas Freyre of Norwalk won the men's division and Amanda West won the women's division. Freyre also won the overall Series title based on his performance in all four races beginning in January. Darien's Liz Herbert was the women's Series champ.
