Mesropyan, a resident of Mahwah, played at Immaculate Heart Academy. She was an All-State and All-League selection, an NSCAA All-American and the NSCAA New Jersey Player of the Year. She was four-year letter winner in basketball.

With the Pioneers trailing 2-1 late in regulation, Mesropyan hit a low rolling shot past Iona goalkeeper Lauren Ferris with under three minutes to play to tie the game 2-2. Sacred Heart won the game in overtime 3-2. Mesropyan leads the team with four goals so far this season.

She is the second Pioneer freshman to earn NEC Rookie of the Week honors this season. Melanie DaSilva was named Rookie of the Week on Aug. 24 after scoring two goals in games at Army West Point and Stony Brook.
