Fairfield Prep's Alvarado Ranked 29th In Final Cross Country Rankings

FAIRFIELD COIUNTY, Conn. – Westport’s Hannah DeBalsi was ranked fifth and Darien’s Alex Ostberg finished 29th in the nation in the final cross country Top 100 lists published Saturday by RunnerSpace.com.

DeBalsi, a sophomore, finished second in the Foot Locker national championships earlier this month. She was also the Connecticut and New England champion. Claire Howlett, a senior from Westhill High School in Stamford, finished 28th in the final girls rankings.

Ostberg finished 29th in the final boys rankings after taking 11th at Foot Locker. Fairfield Prep senior Christian Alvarado finished 52nd, and Ridgefield’s Trevor Hopper was 64th.
