Meriden Man Accused Suffocating Woman, Throwing Baby On Couch in Milford, Police Say
A Connecticut man is accused of attempting to strangle a woman during a domestic incident with a baby nearby.
New Haven County resident Edgar Alamo, age 23, of Meriden, was arrested on the charges on Sunday, April 28 in Milford.
According to the Milford Police, officers took custody of Alamo regarding two active arrest warrants stemming from separate incidents.
Alamo is accused of throwing a woman to the floor by her hair, choking her, and trying to suffocate her. The victim’s toddler child was present during one altercation, police said.

A man remained jailed after authorities said he sexually assaulted and choked a former partner in a Paterson residence earlier this week, authorities said.
Saul Huamani-Rosas, a 26-year-old Peruvian national living in Paterson, was arrested on Sunday, April 21, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes said.

Waterbury Man Charged With Murder After Stabbing Wife In Neck, Police Say
A Connecticut man has been charged with murder for allegedly stabbing his wife in the neck with a knife during a domestic dispute.
New Haven County resident Allen Bell, age 35, of Waterbury, was arrested in Waterbury on Friday, April 19.
According to Lt. Ryan Bessette of the Waterbury Police, officers responded to a home on East Main Street around 5 a.m. on a report of a domestic dispute.
Once inside, officer found a 43-year-old woman who had been stabbed in the neck. She was pronounced dead at the scene, Bessette said.
