Merritt Parkway Stretch Reopens After Pileup Crash
This story has been updated. A stretch of the Merritt Parkway in Fairfield County has reopened after a five-vehicle, chain-reaction crash caused its closure. The closure, on the northbound side, started around 4 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 19 and is between Main Avenue (Exit 40) and Route 33 (Exit 41). During the closure, members of the Norwalk Fire Department worked to extricate two occupants from their vehicle.
