FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- The Fairfield University Clam Jam event this weekend will cause some traffic changes in the area of Penfield Beach.
The annual party event for students will be held at Penfield Beach on Saturday. In an effort to reduce overcrowding and maintain public safety, police said that all streets leading to the beach south of Quincy Street will be posted as temporary no parking/tow zones from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Vehicles parked in these ares on Saturday be will ticketed starting at 10 a.m. and will be towed at the owner's expense.
"Please park your vehicles in your driveways and plan your day accordingly based on these temporary tow zones that will be in effect," Fairfield Police said.
