Jim Himes couldn't involve himself with things before the fact.Watching the video and and clocking the time line looks so far what could be a slow response and poor communication among the responders down the line.Norwalk police stepped up and did a great job with little direction from the state to help those behind this tragic occurance.They got the Noralk transit in motion without any direction and found ways to help those stranded.I think Norwalk did a great job as soon as the word came trains were stuck at Norwalk.Mayor Moccia had a chance to improve communictaion with the MTA a few years back but walked out of a meeting in Stamford before he was able to hear what would help Norwalk and the MTA get along.Jim seems to take the same route on many issues. Good news is Hulcher Services Inc., a nationwide railroad contractor and total services provider of contractor services for the railroads, passed Norwalk on RT 7 coming from 84 last night around 9pm with a MTA escort on its way to Bridgeport.A dozen large trucks with overload signs from this out of state company has arrived.When we passed them after they got off the interstate we realized the big guns had arrived a very impressive show of equipment that are made for just rail disasters. This woman when I first met her in the Democratic party thought wow this is one more nail in the parties coffin. The city has endured many tragic events that have destroyed this once was great destination for all to enjoy.Where has Harry been all these years? Lets think back oh maybe a year ago when Harry was seeking employment in other cities.I only wish I could deliver what was said at the Aquidneck Island National police parade where Harry was seeking the top cop job.I havn't missed marching in that event in the 30 year history wondering how many times did Harry make the parade?Please note I wasn't marching from Norwalk in fact it was hard to admit where I was from after reading all the news from RI during his bid for the job. It was great the amount of police protection given to the school on Chestnut st where it was reported Harry had grandchildren there while the rest of us had kids in the DMZ in south Norwalk.We were all treated like crap the first reason myself and others would never consider him for any office.Our children have been hurt they were ignored by Harry for years and now some of them voting age are wondering if the Democrats will do the right thing and dismiss him from class,or keep him around to do damage to Dicks run. There is no better time to get the youth involved they have endured so much disapointment and poor leadership for years its time to step up reach out and dump those who have made this city their playground. So far its been a City Carting promo where saving us taxpayers maoney was not clearly thought out.The ability to transfer some cost saving tips we already have in place was never addressed. Now we have this? Crime,Homeless without shelter Tagging parking Norwalk river and the new Marina at Vets park all are issues taxpayers need to know about. The firefighters may not like the way the bee keeping process went for one of thier buddies but why give us what seems the Moccia side on any issue? No cheap shots at Bruce clearly we are not dealing with a EDP patient. Mr Rodgers had a show a few years back maybe Tom from Cable could get you a spot I'm sure Gwen could use the help be nice to hear what you have to say after a shooting or stabbing or more increasingly serious problems at our train and bus depots. department is internationally accredited,yes it is last time they(the people from MD) were in the city the last day as they were leaving the front door,a prisoner tried hanging himself in a cell at the station it was an interesting morning we were all there.He was transported to the ER still something happened that day and was quietly forgotten about. well its the spending thats been done under the radar,new vac trucks,when we gave away the old ones,no fire station in East Norwalk to house one of four ladder trucks(there is no reason for this),and a free fire boat costing the city over $100,000 and it was last night Norwalk Marine units did all the work so yes the city is not moving forewood its not moving at all. Lets thank those who voted for red herrings on Dicks word. The list grows and so far all we see for a return is a parking garage going up taking the place of parking lots in Sono where LAZ makes the money along side of the city.Its a great time to start asking questions . Oyster park is now a award winning skate park,lawns paths and anything worth having is now crap and yes tagging is the new way of kids saying lets not have anything nice.The Mayor has done well to ruin anything else we all held as prized places to enjoy Norwalk. but we have three officers in the schools along with the 5 each day crossing kids,I never heard once the facts when the council voted,knee jerk votes got Norwalk nowhere thank those who drank the kool aid. Then we have two councilors creating some great PR for city carting yet ignore the information we all want to know.Accident last week makes you wonder did city carting use the new scale Norwalk put in at a unusaul cost to us taxpayers. Those two guys could of explained the stream of trash can be sorted at the trash drop off site making it more cost effective before the bells and whistles City Carting implemented.Dave gave us nothing in helping us out City Carting got the help.People I talked to don't want the big blue cart on wheels who ever asked us all if this was the way to go?Facts were left out data never made our table just the BS Bruce and Dave drafted to show us all City Carting has the muscle but using those two lacked the brains.Its all costing us more money for less service seems that is what Moccia has done over the last couple of years. The tax increase would help pay for the city’s 2013-14 spending plan of $309.4 million, which represents just over a 4 percent increase in spending over the current year it wiil help pay or pay for? Look around the waste Norwalk is creating is from the private contracts including parking a dept that does nothing but prevent more patrons coming into the city.Why is the police dept now taking resouces to tag cars and run down parking voilations when we already have private constables on the payroll that are paid enforcement or not? Norwalk has wasted years in hiding sweatheart deals from its taxpayers,and listening to ill advised crap from those within. We all saw that truck on its side,have to think where did it come from before it went over?Oh thats right Duffs truck route that passes thousands of children who have no voice,have to wonder how much over a 70,000 pound payload it was? Nothing but thanks to those making it possible to build up such a great hospital. The mayor has worked hard to fill the ER with gunshot and stabbing victims and the steady stream of homeless there should be some room there named after him. What is troubling the amount of cancer victims coming out of Norwalk the trend seems to be growing one can only hope the city starts to take a proactive stance on forgotten contaminaton.Saint Vincets has seen a lot of Norwalkers over the years saved a lot of them but there is that reality the trend is growing for those who after many years lived in Norwalk among the pollution.Perfect example is the highly toxic landfill Norwalk has now called a park,along side of cells buried in the Norwalk river of stuff not even the feds want in offshore burying grounds. With all the money going to the hospital one can only hope our politicians find the money to buy a few ambulances.With cutting edge procedures the main goal should be getting the patient to the hospital and not have a waiting period that becomes tragic to the patient. There had been a few complaints when the hospital went for a new procedure the State ignored the red flag the hospital did its damage control a few years back still Norwalk residents wait for out of town ambulances to carry them to the ER.Where everyone is doing so much for the hospital maybe the mayor can see his way to helping us all out and imrove the time ot takes after that phone call is made. Maybe Howard Eison, M.D., chairman of the Norwalk Hospital Foundation Board could look into the history of poor response for those seeking emergency treatment.The fire dept needs it own ambulance a fact not many could argue unless you part of the problem.No matter how great any hopsital is you have to first get the patient to the hospital.There is enough stories out there by our emergency caretakers on how long it took for the rig to show up simply another fact that needs to be looked into. The police officers are making money and now firefighters in Norwalk could end up the highest paid in the state and we are counting nickels now? Anyone do the math yet? 17 officers 3 hours chasing clues plus 4 more at the hospital becuase after any shooting where the victim usually goes needs police deatils. Now you take 17+4+ overtime this case without a doubt took every resouce the police dept had.
